hccornbtn1.gif (2077 bytes)Introduction:

There are many rules that young trick-or-treaters need to know and follow before going out on Halloween night.  If trick-or-treaters don't follow safety rules, it could lead to a dangerous situation for them.

To complete this webquest successfully, you will:

1.  Decide who is going to be the 'driver' of the computer and who will be the writer.

2.  Go to the first link below.  Read and take notes about what you learned at this site.
*Remember you cannot copy the exact words of the author.  Use your own words. Click here for the Resource Links.

3.  If you were the 'driver' at the first site, you are now the writer.  If you were the writer, you are now the 'driver' of the computer.  Go to the second site and do the same as #2 above.  Click here for the Resource Links.

4.  Now that you have gathered your information, decide upon six rules that the young trick-or-treaters should follow.

5.  Get four half pieces of paper at the front of the room.  Each of these pieces of paper represents a slide of your Power Point presenation.

6.  Number each piece of paper 1, 2, 3, and 4.

7.  On the first slide, you will put an introduction.  It should include a title and who the presentation is by.

8. The second and third slide should have the rules.  Three rules on each slide.

9.  The fourth slide should have a conclusion on it.  Conclusions help to get your points across one last time.

10.  Click here for your Power Point Presentation template.

hccornbtn1.gif (2077 bytes)Reflections and things to think about:

Having rules is very important for our safety as well as others.  Can you think of other places or situations that where following rules is important?  What would happen if we didn't have any rules?
